The spring season is always a bit challenging for Oregon gardeners. We start seeds indoors starting in February. As the months go by I become anxious to plant outside. Fortunately, we have a hoop house. So we can plant our early crops in there, and keep our seedlings happy and warm until the weather outside is more suitable. In fact, we have been harvesting salad greens and peas for several weeks from our hoop house. We also have tomatoes planted in there and green beans. With the few sun breaks that we have had we have planted peas, beans, carrots, beets, several varieities of summer squash, onions, broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower outside. The bee hives have been moved in to pollinate the blueberries, strawberries and cane berries. We are fortunate to get to sell the honey in our store as well. So the season is rolling around to be another year of delicious eating--glad to share the journey with you!
