Just doesn't seem like the season should be winding down so quickly! We have all the stakes pulled out of the tomatoes, putting away straw bales for next year, planting salad greens in the grenhouse, and harvesting fall crops. The weather has been nice for these chores.
Carl continues to make batches of sauerkraut so we will have several different kinds for sale by Thanksgiving. With apples, jalapenos and red cabbage.
Thanksgiving traditions are so fun for families. Many wonderful memories are created at this time. In my family growing up we always had a big nut bowl and we would all take turns cracking nuts and eating them, and baking with them. So in the box this week are walnuts and next week will be hazelnuts. Enjoy.
We are working on preparing food and getting tables ready for our friends that will be joining us for ladie's night out tonight. Hope you can come join the fun!
Next week is the last CSA box of the year. I will be sending a survey that I hope you will complete so we can use your input as we plan next years CSA.
Have a wonderful week.
