Things have been hopping on the farm this week. We planted over 600 pepper plants--all different kinds. We replanted the winter squash because the crows ate the first planting! We planted hundreds of cucumbers and lettuce plants. Carl planted by seed carrots, beets, beans, corn, dill, lettuce and peas. Plenty of delicious items for later harvest.
This weeks produce box has some rhubarb--goes great with strawberries, or make the muffins in the recipe provided. The asparagus is growing slower than we would like, but put the asparagus, onions, and peas wrapped in foil with a splash of olive oil on the grill for a nice Father's Day treat!
We welcome everyone to come to our store to see what all we have. We have wonderful cheeses, farm fresh eggs, specialty foods, plants and gifts. The perennials are on sale for 25% off all through June.
Talk to you soon, Nancy and crew
