CSA Weekly Produce Boxes

Summer/Fall 2010: Fresh To You Produce & Garden Center started a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) weekly box of produce. We have come full circle, since this is how Fresh To You started-that’s how we chose the name!
What is CSA?
CSA Stands for Community Supported Agriculture - farmers and consumers having a relationship around food production. By becoming a member of our CSA you will receive a weekly box full of delicious, seasonal produce.
We provide a weekly newsletter and recipes and weekly menu ideas with each box of food, so that you will be able prepare your produce easily and hear about what is happening on our small farm. We will have farm tour days and other opportunities to gather together throughout the year.
How much produce will you get?
Not only do you save time by having your box ready for you, it is also an economical way to buy because you get more than $20.00 worth of produce each week. We will supplement the boxes with produce from some of our neighboring farms to expand the selection.

Why Join A CSA?
To support a farm that will provide you with healthy, locally grown produce. Your membership supports land that is cared for using sustainable methods. We feel that the link between food, farm and families is one that needs to be strengthened at this time in our history. You will experience the seasonality of food—early spring crops vary greatly from the bounty of summer harvests. Plus, you may get more of some things than others due to weather, etc. That is the beauty of sharing in the harvest!
We use compost, crop rotation, cover crops, drip irrigation, and beneficial insects to maintain the health of our soil for future generations.
You can be sure that we choose varieties of vegetables and fruit for their flavor, and pick them when they are ripe—full of flavor and nutrients. Your family’s health will glow with good nutrition.
There will be enough for a family of 4 or 2 that can eat a lot of produce!
Vacation Credit
Two weeks of vacation credit are available. Let us know a week ahead of time. You can:
- Donate your box to the food bank
- Receive $20.00 worth of produce from our stand at a later date (for each week)
What does it cost?
Our CSA will run for 25 weeks. Approximately June 3-November 18.
The cost is $500.00 with the following payment options:
- Full payment by April 1st (10% off - $450.00)
- Full payment by May 1st ($500)
- Two payments (May 1st - $260.00 and August 1st - $260.00)
Where to pick up your weekly box:
At this time pick up will be at Fresh To You Produce & Garden Center. We will have at least one pickup place in Salem for 2011 and if enough interest one in Mehama. If we get enough people to sign up in other areas we will have other pick up locations - to be announced before the start of the season.
